The Great Mother March is a 32-day pilgrimage and empowerment movement in the United States that aims to bring people together in a walk from Asheville, North Carolina, to Washington, D.C. in spring 2026. Help us welcome and celebrate these marchers as they stop in Charlottesville.

The Great Mother March
An Empowerment Pilgrimage for Those Who Believe the Way Forward Is Together.

It’s time for a return to balance. The Monks who are walking from Texas to D.C. & The Great Mother March are an example of “multiple discoveries,” independently inspired and harmonious in intention, to encourage meaningful human connection at a pace that allows us to connect, share, co-create & heal.
-
Over the course of 32 days, we will embark on 500-mile, sacred journey to reweave the connection between people and the planet, arriving in unity on Earth Day 2026 in Washington DC.
-
BE the change… One step at a time, face to face, heART to heART, we will move through 32 communities in rural NC and VA to embody the archetype of the Great Mother: unconditional love, unity, compassion, creativity and our shared humanity.
